About Cooking Already

Cooking Already is a single-topic browser game site. It carries 294 cooking titles and nothing else — no general-purpose arcade dump, no unrelated genres padding out the page count.

How the library is put together

Games are pulled from the GameDistribution catalog and filtered against a keyword list for this topic, so a title only ships if its name, description, tags or category actually place it here. The result is split across 5 categories:

• Restaurant Rush (129 games) — Time-management service games — take the order, hold it in the queue, plate it before the patience bar empties. The whole genre lives or dies on how long that bar is.
• Baking & Desserts (53 games) — Layer-by-layer builds where the recipe is the level design: batter, bake, frost, decorate. Mistakes usually cost a restart rather than a timer, so these read slower than service games.
• Fast Food (28 games) — Burgers, pizza, tacos and sushi assembled against the clock. Shorter ticket lists than restaurant sims, which makes them the easiest cooking games to play in a two-minute break.
• Kitchen Tycoon (58 games) — Management sims where you grow a kitchen instead of cooking one dish — hire staff, unlock stations, scale throughput. Sessions run long; the loop is economic, not manual.
• Prep Station (26 games) — Knife work, peeling, sorting and washing — the input-precision corner of cooking games. Closer to timing-window arcade play than to management.

What is on a game page

Every game page is built from fields the publisher actually ships, never from filler text:

• Controls are parsed out of the publisher's own instructions — mouse, touch, drag, arrow keys, WASD, the space key or number keys. When the publisher names nothing, the page says so instead of guessing.
• Device fit comes from the frame size: resolution, aspect ratio, orientation, and a plain answer about phones, rotation and keyboards.
• The comparison table matches the closest titles by shared publisher tags weighted by rarity, so a tag that nearly every game carries barely counts.
• Tag navigation only links to tags with enough games behind them to be worth opening — 44 of them across the library.

How this site differs from our other sites

Cooking Already is built so its library does not duplicate the other sites we run. Before the library is published, every game id is checked against the catalogues of the sibling sites and the overlap has to stay under a hard threshold, otherwise the build fails. That keeps each site worth visiting on its own instead of being one catalogue wearing several domains.
